The Maritim's setting is a true delight. It's based on a historic 18th century estate where a river flows over dams and cascades into a crystal lagoon surrounded by lush vegetation. Walk around the estate's ruins or the luxurious gardens overlooked by Mauritius' prettiest mountains.

All 176 stylish rooms and the four suites have spectacular views of Turtle Bay and the sun-drenched sands of the one kilometre-long beach. They all feature a terrace or balcony for you enjoy the amazing vistas in privacy.

The bay is a marine national park with some of the most glorious underwater life in Mauritius. A nearby coral reef protects the beach so it's ideal for families to try diving, snorkelling and other water sports in perfect child-friendly conditions.

Maritim is a great resort for children with the Turtle Club offering a range of activities plus a games and TV room in its own clubhouse to keep youngsters occupied. Baby-sitters are also available.
