Amanpuri means ‘Peaceful Place’, the resort is set within a mature coconut plantation overlooking the Andaman Sea on the west coast of Phuket; this is the place to escape life’s modern stresses.

 

The style at Amanpuri is authentic and sympathetic to the environment, with swooping multi-tiered roof tiles, outside salas or private dining decks. Pavilions are connected by a series of elevated walkways, which lead to the exotic pool and the steps to the beach. Garden Pavilions are interspersed among the coconut palms while the Partial Ocean Pavilion’s are set further back from the sea.

The new Naoki restaurant combines the best of French techniques with the Japanese sense of artistry. A cocktail bar and lounge seating is also available at the Beach Club, and during certain times of the year, evening torch-lit barbeques can be enjoyed on the beach.

Overlooking the Pansea Beach is the Beach Club, featuring a midnight blue tiled lap pool. There is also a freshwater swimming pool, with complimentary Thai tea served daily. Water enthusiasts can enjoy windsurfing and snorkelling and a PADI programme. Healing or traditional treatments can be enjoyed at the Aman Spa, there are six spacious Thai-style spa pavilions offering an open light-filled space.
